The shortage of healthcare workers during this pandemic is entirely the government's fault. The workforce is there. The government has simply misused public funds to the point where no money is available to employ healthcare workers.

This makes me sick, this country is a joke. 290+ SA trained doctors are sitting at home without jobs (jobs that are actually compulsory before they can practice independently). NDoH says it's due to lack of funds - Disgusting.

Let's get this straight, the NDoH KNOWS how many graduates there are going to be. They make it COMPULSORY for these graduates to work for 3 years but "can't find" the funds for these posts. We are in a PANDEMIC....but Digital Vibes hey.

The allocation of junior doctors to posts is only the first step. Once doctors are allocated, they must be contracted by the hospitals. Doctors often have to relocate to a different part of the country to take up their new job +
