@AdrianBryan42@LydiaJane13@GreggsOfficial Chesterfield is an interesting outground - it's in a public park.
And if you want to see something different while you're up that way, the British Transplant Games are on in Sheffield that week too. (Kind of Olympics for transplantees.)
@AdrianBryan42@LydiaJane13@GreggsOfficial I am indeed. Notts, Blaze, and Lincs. Definitely hit me up if you make it to our place. Best ground in England for good pubs in the immediate vicinity. ๐ป
Tho, oddly, our home game v Northants this year is at Chesterfield, in Derbys!
@AdrianBryan42@LydiaJane13@GreggsOfficial At Lord's, you can at least bring a small amount of alcohol in. But only once, not on re-entry. I like to go off-site for a wander at lunch which means I'd have to down my permitted bottle of wine by 1pm!!!
@AdrianBryan42@LydiaJane13@GreggsOfficial I haven't been to a men's Test since Covid, for similar reasons. Even at county games, I still take my own food or nip to the supermarket. Over a season, must work out hundreds of pounds cheaper than buying in the ground.
@AdrianBryan42@SaintsRugby The problem is, it'll keep happening as long as the fans keep turning up, keep tuning in, keep celebrating winning "finals". As I will if Leic Tigers do so this year. ๐คฃ You are right, though. Well played, Saints; best team this year. * * we beat you the other week though
@AdrianBryan42@SaintsRugby Agree wholeheartedly. Union, league, footy promotion, women's ODC, all have this curse. Have a league and have a cup. Have group stages of the cup if needs be. But if everyone has played everyone H and A in the league, no further games needed.
@TheBlazeCricket I rate both Kemp and Gibson but Elwiss is their equal; should've been in that intra-squad, at least in the conversation. I get she's 35 but there's a World Cup to win; the future comes after. Then again, happy she'll be with us throughout June instead.
@TheBlazeCricket Cracking win. We've signed yet another cracking player.
We seem to be having a few above-waist no balls missed when we're batting. No harm done, though.
@YellabellyRover@TheBlazeCricket A lot of changes. Presuming A Jones and NSB are England-demanded? But no Kelly or Elwiss after starring roles on Wed?? Still, plenty od quality coming in for them all.
@AdrianBryan42@bagshaw2112 It was close, with Leonard. Same times to 100th of a second, if I recall right, but Wells was given it. Then silver to Menea in the 200. My 1st Olympics and that, along with Coe and Ovett and Thompson, still stand out in my memory.
@bbctms@BBCSport@onedaycup@LancsCricketWMN@DurhamCricket And it's not self interest. Blaze were 2nd in both leagues last year and so got a tilt at the trophies (and we'd have celebrated if we had won them). But an honest assessment says its not right.
@bbctms@BBCSport@onedaycup@LancsCricketWMN@DurhamCricket I'm very happy to see a current player saying play-offs aren't the right way to decide a league. We need more of this; those involved saying when the format isn't right. If you win the league, that should be it; you're champions.
@AshesVictory Stokes, yes. We've seen before that he can adjust his game. The latter half of The Ashes. For example. Key himself, I'd have said so before, but disappointed he's not displayed that quality of late. McCullum, there's no evidence he has anything like the humility necessary.
@AshesVictory Key made a reasonable point in his interview with Nass&Ath, that those who experienced the errors 1st hand, i.e. by making them, may thus be best placed to fix them. But the caveat he didn't mention is that requires them to have the humility to recognise what they did wrong.
@ICC You haven't, as far as I can see, said what the process is for the semis. Is it normal, e.g. SF1= Winner G1 v RU G2? Or seeding, like the men now? Or different again? Have you even thought about this yet? Until this bit is clear, it's not really "the full fixture list".
