I used to recommend Mash Poa to everyone. Comfortable seats, working charging ports, WiFi that actually worked, and punctuality that was legendary. You’d be 5 minutes late and the bus was already gone. That’s how seriously they took their standards.

Lately, something has changed.

Last month, my bus to Busia delayed a full hour. No apology, like it was normal.

Yesterday, their 5:30pm Nairobi–Kampala bus delayed 2 hours before even leaving. No update, no remorse.

That same bus was supposed to be in Kampala by this morning. It’s only just crossing Busia border now with passengers looking at 5 more hours to Namayyiba Bus Stop in Kampala.

I’ve seen this story before. Modern Coast used to be untouchable too, until they started treating passengers like an inconvenience instead of the reason the business exists. We all know how that ended.

To Mash Poa: you built trust with great service and respect for people’s time. Please don’t throw it away. And to anyone still choosing them for time-sensitive travel, go in with your eyes open.

This was my last trip with them.
