Mold in a bathroom is a housing code violation, not "cosmetic," and you already did the smart part by pulling his record. That violation history and the pattern across his LLCs is exactly what a housing court looks at.

Two things worth knowing: threatening to push you out or hike your rent right after you asked for repairs can be illegal retaliation, and those 19 open violations are leverage, not just venting material.
