Speaking to leaders like @Juan Cabral, Superintendent of the @Redlands Unified School District, I was inspired by the passion that he has carried through being an educator to leading educators, and always advocating the kids and positive student achievement and equity.
The school principal is one of the toughest jobs, having to balance tight resources across stakeholder groups ranging from parents, teachers, classified staff, to the broader district, to community leaders, unions, all while focusing on the kids under your care.
I remember the fear I had in school when I was sent to the principal's office.
Who knew what horrors lay behind those plywood doors?
Thinking back about that today, I have a completely different appreciation and respect for leaders in education, especially for K-12 children.
