Allow me to (re) introduce myself.
Here are some important things to know about me in no particular order.
I'm married to an amazing wife and dad to two wonderful girls.
My personal mission is to build a better world of work.
I grew up in South Florida (Go Noles!) and lived in New York and Los Angeles before setting in Northern VA.
I'm a tech/digital nerd with boundless curiosity for emerging tools. π€
I've spent 25 years in the talent and people space building high-growth companies as an operator and entrepreneur.
I love live music and have eclectic tastes including punk, reggae, EDM, yacht rock, and old school hip hop. π΅
I'm a wannabe designer and video creator and dabble in both (owning my self-taught mediocrity in both).
I've covered modern people and work practices in my Fast Company column since 2019. π
I've published two books - Employer Branding for Dummies (co-authored with the legendary Richard Mosley) and Redefining HR. The former cements my "dummy" status. Feel free to use that on me.
I've overcome much adversity and loss in my life, including both of my parents to disease and my only sibling to addiction. I write and share about my experience living with grief and the scars of loss and the impacts of addiction as a way of healing and (hopefully) helping others with similar experiences feel less alone.
The experience above had a profound impact on my optimistic view and appreciation of life and the resiliency to know I can overcome hard things.
I host a podcast in LinkedIn's Podcast Network called "Redefining Work". π§
I put myself through college and have been working since I was 14 years old (Publix Bag Boy).
I love to travel and explore the world. πΊοΈ
If you follow me here I want you to know me beyond my posts. Now you do. Thanks for reading! βπΌ
Anthropic now has a team dedicated to AI and the rule of law β and we've just opened our first role.
@AnthropicAI has studied what AI means for the economy. This team asks a different question: what will it mean for executive power, for courts and elections β and for the public deliberation that constitutional democracy ultimately rests on?
We're looking for someone with real depth in both AI and the law β a legal scholar, political scientist, or experienced government hand who can reason about frontier systems and the institutions they will affect.
If that's you, or someone you know: https://t.co/668HDz1lhf
Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs: make prototypes, slides, and one-pagers by talking to Claude.
Powered by Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable vision model. Available in research preview on the Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, rolling out throughout the day.
Steal this idea (like I stole it from @williamtincup π€πΌ π€πΌ).
If you've been a guest on multiple podcasts and want to curate them for your website (or wherever), follow these steps.
@Foximus05 C'mon, man. Do you know who expensive 7' actors strolling the PNW in bigfoot costumes would be? Recruiting doesn't have that kind of budget. π
A 7-foot-tall Bigfoot. A blueberry obsession. A dream to join the world's most delicious superfruit company. π«
Meet Barry β the shaggy, emotionally complex cryptid starring in The Quest, our new original AI-generated video series following Barry's quest for his dream job.
The FBI is aware of bomb threats to polling locations in several states, many of which appear to originate from Russian email domains. None of the threats have been determined to be credible thus far. https://t.co/j3YfajVK1m
Scaring voters and creating an early narrative of mayhem and chaos are all part of the anticipated disinformation campaign. Good morning. The @FBI would also like to remind you that pretending to represent the FBI is a federal crime.
If you encounter violence, threats, or intimidation at a polling place, call 911 immediately. After alerting local authorities, report the incident to the Justice Department.
