Recently, our seventh graders enjoyed a class trip to Buffalo’s Outer Harbor, where they boarded the Miss Buffalo and explored the city from the water. Along the way, students took in the sights and learned fascinating facts about the history and landmarks of Buffalo!

Mrs. Lewis’s fifth graders are sharpening their math skills with task cards! After solving each problem, students use an answer key to check their own work, building confidence and independence along the way.

Eighth graders had the exciting opportunity to explore future careers as more than 15 community members volunteered their time to share their expertise and inspire students as they begin their 8th Grade Capstone Projects!

Our 8th-grade FACS students recently partnered with our local DAR chapter to create feminine product pouches for Indigenous women in our community. We are so proud of their hard work and compassion. Together, they donated 160 pouches!

Check out our eighth graders in Ms. Hallmark’s Advanced Art class celebrating “Bob Ross Day” while creating beautiful oil pastel landscapes inspired by his work. Their projects already look remarkable!

Students in Mr. McCann’s class recently showed off their creativity and team spirit by coloring pictures of Sabretooth, the mascot of the Buffalo Sabres. The classroom was filled with excitement as students proudly chanted, “LET’S GO BUFFALO!”

Our 5th grade students celebrated inclusion and community during the Special Olympics Torch Run at Cheektowaga Central. Students, staff, Special Olympians, and the Cheektowaga Police Department came together for a great day of kindness and unity!

Check it out! Ms. Santoro-Mol’s 5th grade general music class wrapped up their World Instruments unit by creating their own version of the traditional Irish “wooden” spoon instrument. Students had a blast composing rhythmic patterns and performing for their classmates!

Ms. Hallmark’s 6th grade artists wrapped up their weaving unit last week—learning how to set up a loom and create unique patterns with new techniques. Meanwhile, 8th graders are exploring atmospheric perspective and bringing landscapes to life with acrylic paint.

After New York State Testing, Mrs. Zilliox’s 5th grade ELA classes brought stories to life with Readers Theater. Reading Three Wishes and The Wolf Who Cried Boy—and already asking for an encore!

Puzzle Club fun at the middle school! Students took on two 48-piece floor puzzles in a boys vs. girls race—and the boys claimed the win with the space puzzle!
