No, we're not, Ido. I recently encountered a similar rhetoric from a group of individuals attempting to soothe their conscience regarding the devastating suffering in Gaza by making such statements. We tried in 2019 with our empty hands against a group of thugs with their guns. I and thousands of others ended up being jailed and tortured while no one cared; we tried again in 2023, just a few months before the war, and no one cared. I try and show the people how Hamas treats us and what happens when we oppose them. I recently shared the heartbreaking story of Ziad Abu Hayyah. After pleading for protection from Hamas, he was subjected to brutal torture, required intensive care in a hospital, and tragically lost his life—shot before the eyes of his children while they sheltered in their tents during the war. I wrote an article, only to discover that my relatives were being threatened due to our connection, while I was labeled a criminal simply for speaking out against Hamas' ideology.
