Our friend @Chef_SherryM kindly sent us a lovely & lavish meal from Kanak, from where she does some amazing Punjabi food. What could be more joyful than a thali adorned by chapli kevab, dal makhni, mutton beliram, dam ki batar (quail cooked in saffron & cashew gravy) & paratha?
I’ve wanted to be a chef for most of my life. I tried to strut into the kitchen in a spotless white coat with spoons in my left shoulder pocket.
