Had an engaging interaction with the team from Sodexo, who presented Nourish, a thoughtful collection of 120 plant-based recipes that redefine how we look at food and nutrition.

The book celebrates clean eating, with recipes that are light, wholesome, and built on rich plant-based, fibre-packed ingredients and natural proteins. It reminds us that healthy food can be simple yet delicious.

At Goa Medical College, we strive to provide nutritious meals designed by dieticians, tailored to patients’ medical needs, and enriched with millet-based recipes — aligned with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of making India a global hub for millets and promoting healthier, sustainable food choices.

As we continue promoting mindful eating and sustainable food practices, we’ll explore some of these recipes at GMC to make every meal both nutritious and restorative.

Today, we launched a special initiative close to my heart – Aarogyum, a collaborative effort by Sodexo in partnership with GMC. The inauguration was done in presence of Director of Health and Care at @SodexoIndia, Sharad, Dean GMC, Dr. S M Bandekar, MS GMC Dr. Rajesh Patil, Heads of Departments, and the students of @GoaGmc. Our initiative is aligned with the vision of the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who has declared this year as the international year of Millets. Recognizing millets, particularly Shree Anna, as India's superfood, we aim to provide our patients with a power-packed and nutritious meal, fostering faster recovery and improved nutritional support. Millets will be incorporated into their diets to ensure the delivery of quality food.
