Just letting the world know that it has been 7 months since I first submitted my EU261 compensation claim to @IndiGo6E, and to this day I have not received a single penny, even though IndiGo confirmed I am entitled to compensation.
Being ignored by email. Hence this tweet.
@al42696@IndiGo6E I looked into that option. However, because the airline is based outside the EU, there were significant jurisdictional and enforcement issues. Combined with the time and cost involved, it simply didn't seem proportionate, even for a €600 claim.
@IndiGo6E The Ministry of Civil Aviation reached out after seeing my posts and asked for my case details.
This was their response.
No explanation why my EU261 compensation is still unpaid. Just a generic statement that the matter has been "processed."
Judge for yourself.
@IndiGo6E even persuaded me to accept 50% less (€300 instead of €600). I reluctantly accepted, hoping it would speed up the process and that I would at least receive part of the compensation I was entitled to. Even that has not been paid.
I have been chasing my EU261 consumer rights from @IndiGo6E for 5 months now. They lie, decieve and do everything in their power to not pay my (approved) compensation. @EU_Commission@Consumentenbond
@Symphony_res Voor hen die zeggen dat die man op het bankje de politie had kunnen bellen, wil je dat hij de volgende is die in elkaar getrapt wordt als hij voor hun neus de politie belt? Denk eens na.
It has officially been 90 days since I boarded an @IndiGo6E flight with an 3+ hour delay. IndiGo said they honoured my EU261 rights and compensated €600 + additional cost. Till this day I still haven’t received my compensation. Is this a professional company??
@IndiGo6E made me retract my lawyer for no reason. They pretend to have paid my EU261 claim, but to this day I haven’t received a single penny. Sadly, this kind of gaslighting by airlines happens often. I will NOT give up.
