Today saw the start of the new Essex Flex shift pattern. All of our old shifts have now been disbanded and the Officers have been re posted onto new shifts A-E!
Unfortunately there won’t be mich activity from this account whilst we work out what to do with it!

On cordon control & adult male gives the Officer some proper grief & they are wondering why the Officer isn’t being helpful back.
A 10 year old girl says to male “your horrible to him, he’s horrible back. If your nice to him then he’ll be nice back, simple! Well said young lady!

@JoeyGardiner_ I would suggest a bit of both! The media coverage on assaults on emergency workers has been significant recently but then I would also say in the last 5 years the violence from suspects has increased!

A man in his 50s and a green Land Rover were involved.

@Spike_Pizza I agree that communication is our number 1 tool but as you know yourself you can’t communicate with everyone. I have seen on TV you tasering someone out of a car straightaway after a pursuit & this I would have thought shows you that there isn’t always time to talk before action
