@tracy_nissen@NCRCliteracy I love getting out of the schools as well, it makes it feel less “worky” after hours! And nothing beats live music and great children’s books from someone local! #NCRCchat
@NCRCliteracy A6: I loved downtown with Max, such a great addition since I was last in NCRC! As far as suggestions, I enjoyed our nights and learned about a few community projects I wasn’t aware of! Thank you. #NCRCchat
@NatealYale@NCRCliteracy That is a genius idea, how fun!!!! I think I knew you did this but forgot, hopefully you get a good one to tell us all about! #NCRCchat
@NCRCliteracy A5: Our book club is going to read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and I also hope to start my next book that I am taking for credit. #NCRCchat
@NatealYale@NCRCliteracy I am really hoping this helps as well, we’ve been doing a lot of reading interest “things” that I hope they are finding books they can really dig into! #NCRCchat
@NCRCliteracy A4: I’ve been hitting the importance of reading daily and I hope it helps. Send home a reading inventory so students can visit the library or their personal library to find a book they enjoy! I am also gifting students each different books that I hope they can enjoy! #NCRCchat
@NatealYale@NCRCliteracy I may need to borrow that one once life slows down a bit! I am excited for our book club book as well, I need to get started! #NCRCchat
@BrookeJ17214684@NCRCliteracy Oh yes, I forgot we are starting a new book for book club! I am also excited for that, I hope they are as good as the rest! #NCRCchat
@NCRCliteracy A3: The Colleen Hoover books have really hooked me this year. As@for what is coming next I am truly unsure, I’m tied up in a lot of professional book studies and reading for enjoyment is sort of on hold 😬 #NCRCchat
@BrookeJ17214684@NCRCliteracy Our 3rd graders love those books as well, they also love the Who Would Win books, they’ve got some fun facts but may be a little low for most 5th graders. #NCRC chat
@NatealYale@NCRCliteracy These two book studies really helped with learning some new strategies to enhance phonics and how to bring literature into math lessons. I love the idea of literature and math working hand in hand! And slowly but surely I am becoming a better phonics teacher 🙌 #NCRCchat
@NCRCliteracy A2: This year our coworker introduced us to the Alpert picture books and they were so fun to teach setting and character traits. I also like using the What if you had…(animal hair, teeth, feet, etc) to look at animal adaptations. #NCRCchat
