This December will mark 10 yrs of being alcohol FREE. It was the best decision of my life. @HunterBiden has become one of my favorite voices of sobriety. I wish my friends & some fam off X could see some of this. The wisdom, the raw honesty, the hope for those struggling…I don’t have the words, just genuine admiration & respect for this guy.

Denise- I say this to everyone. The thing that was killing me more than anything else was not the crack it was the vodka. Alcohol is the worst drug of them all. I was drinking a handle a day while smoking crack. It’s the hardest to stop and the easiest to start. It’s the only drug (outside of benzos) you can die withdrawing from. And I know why you drink. You drink because at first it works. Don’t want to feel the way you feel. Well for people like us we know the answer. But you can stop- but rarely alone. Ask for help. Get honest with someone you trust and tell them you need help. We are never alone. I see you. I hear you. The one thing we all have in common is pain. We think we are alone but we are not. I have faith in you. I really do and I don’t even know you. It’s so much better on the other side.

I made a promise to myself that every Sunday will be one spent in nature. Both kids are sleeping & I have ~2 hrs to decide on hitting the forest, a lake or this magical stream I found last year. Maybe we do all 3. You can just force your kids into nature & one day, they’ll be thankful you did. Perhaps one day, as adults, they’ll be stressed & overwhelmed and head for a trailhead instead of a bottle or another unhealthy vice. Nature is one of the best vices. It saved me.

I’m in a crow group and just saw this for you to show your wife😂. This poster’s comment “I confess… I take things too far sometimes…Sherman didn’t use his silverware, but he really enjoyed scrambled eggs and pancakes with his usual kibble. 🤣. Is it obvious I’m a crazy childless white woman? Sherman introduced himself at this table a little over a month ago. He took a 1-week hiatus from daily visits, so when he came back, I was overjoyed!”

@solanapoet This reminds me that I need to get more peanuts tomorrow. There was a crow funeral out back the last few days and I’m keeping my distance but have run out of peanuts. It sounded like a nice grievance gift. Crows are pretty awesome.

I see your profile picture. That’s Johnny Cash. My hero too. Arrested seven times. Smuggled 668 amphetamines across the Mexican border in 1965. Took every drug there was and drank like I did. Cheated on his first wife. Slept with more woman than I ever did. Hit bottom in a cave in Tennessee in 1968 trying to crawl off and die. And then he got up. He got clean. He spent the rest of his life singing for prisoners and addicts and the people the country threw away because he knew he was one of them.

That was the whole point of the Man in Black. He wore it for the poor and the beaten down. He wore it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime. He wore it for the ones who never heard a word of Jesus. He wore it for the addicted and the dying. He wore it as a standing witness that no one is past saving.

@kaicyr21 @RyanAlbright93 @CollinRugg I know like 3 people with Downs that hold jobs and do just fine. It may not be high level work but it’s work that needs to be done and they’re not only contributing to society but the joy they bring others is unlike 98.7% of other people. Real, genuine, selfless joy.

My raised bed garden is going to be a mystery grow op. I started making rows with leftover seed packs & decided to just sprinkle them all over and pat it down. Then I threw all the packets away. Is it a weed, a beet, a bean, a cucumber? Who tf knows. We will just wait & see. Follow me for gardening tips. 👩🏻‍🌾👩🏻‍🌾

My dog was being weird this morning. He just sat in the field and eventually laid down. Tonight I spotted this near his spot. I wonder if he was watching out for a hidden fawn while the mom was away. 🥹

What good comes from alcohol?
How many mistakes/regrets were a result of alcohol consumption that wouldn’t had been an issue if one were not drunk/drinking?
Then…how can I be healthier?
Is any of it worth it?

@Angie0944157428 @SecKennedy Please tell me what exactly is happening. I’m in the woods everyday and live in one of the most infectious areas. I hate ticks and would love nothing more than to get rid of this problem. Tell me what the real cause is, I need someone to blame for my medical bills.
