It'd be good if we manage to eke out a full quarter of growth (unlike the last two) but at this point it's not.

The talks are happening entirely without Canada at the table, at least when it comes to our local trade bloc.

The US and Mexico have been making a fair bit of progress though, I've heard.

- nearly 50% of gdp is govt spending

@yves_farges @_InfoGram_ The US imports Canadian oil not because they need it: their domestic production will cover US needs for the next 2 centuries on shale oil alone, not even counting natural gas.

Candian oil is imported because the US has refineries to handle the grade we extract. Canada doesn't.

Who needs more support to remain at or near peak operation in country? Who can plan, route, schedule and supply better? Who can do the forward engineering and refit to maintain materiel effectiveness?
