Putin says he sometimes watches Western television just to understand what European audiences are being shown. And what he sees is “mass deception.”

He gives a recent example. After an attack on Starobelsk that killed civilians, including children, Russia struck targets in the Kiev region in response.

According to Putin, Western channels spent the entire day showing the Russian strikes: the destruction, the damage, the “Russian aggressor.”

But not a word about what happened in Starobelsk before that. Not a word about the dead children.

Then the narrative moves to Ukrainian drones, their military successes and how much those weapons cost. The message to European viewers follows naturally: pay more.

Putin’s point is simple, and I completely agree with him: if you show the response while erasing what preceded it, you are manufacturing the story your audience is allowed to see.

Habibi, this is Edward Awebwa. Last month, he made TWO years in jail, he still has FOUR years to go. He was also moved from Ollia to Adjumani Prison, part of his time in jail is spent digging on farms. So, last time I got in touch, he asked for gumbots to protect his feet from thorns!

In 2024, the then 24-year-old Edward, was sentenced by Magistrate Stella Maris Amabilis to SIX years in jail for the crime of “abusing the president & first lady”. What he actually did was dramatise a mock trial of a corrupt unnamed leader on TikTok.

It's become increasingly hard to keep tabs with him. The prison warders who were helpful in the past are now more or less hostile whenever I get in touch - possibly because of tweets like this. Perhaps the high-ups want his to be another out-of-sight-out-of-mind case.

Anyway, I just want to congratulate Anita Among on escaping jail, and of course out Female Bishop upon her consecration. God’s hand is surely with them, unlike Edward. ✌️🏾
