We go into graduate school to make a better life for ourselves in the future; however, i often question is that future better life worth the cycle of stress due to be paying under the livable wage and being tasked with the requirement of being a “productive” grad student

And when we do get paid on oct 1, we are using those funds to catch up the bills we weren’t able to pay over the summer.
It’s a perpetual cycle. This cycle disproportionately takes a toll on first generation and Black & Brown students
