I hope to recruit Master and PhD students (2023 fall) from Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan. Interested in polymeric materials, supramolecular chemistry, and biomedical engineering? Please consider applying, the deadline is in a month (30 Dec.) Welcome to join us!
The @WebberLab are looking for talented chemists with skills in the areas of materials, supramolecular, pharmaceutical, or systems chemistry. Need to fill multiple postdoc positions in ongoing projects. Please contact Prof. Webber with your interest. RTs appreciated.
❗❗📣we are hiring:postdoc.and PhD candidates to make coacervates based smart biomaterials via #systemschemistry approach!Candidates with backgrounds in @SupraChem are encouraged to apply. Please click Internships and open positions to know more. Thanks for retweeting🙏
@BapanPramanik2 @EelkemaLab @syschem20 Hi Bapan, Thanks! Research about self-healing hydrogel has been published on ACS Macro Letter: https://t.co/2vcpLxwstD.
Happy to share my PhD work on fuel-driven transient hydrogel from @EelkemaLab in this virtual conference @syschem20. Your comments and questions are always welcome. #syschemposter
@Lasith_S_K @EelkemaLab @syschem20 3-1. I tested DTT in place of TCEP. DTT can also work in my system but the ratio and amount of DTT to alkyne have to be controlled very carefully. Otherwise the sidereaction beween DTT and alkyne will also happen.
@Lasith_S_K @EelkemaLab @syschem20 2. Oxidation of TCEP with H2O2 is not negligible. Besides, side reactions between TCEP and alkene or alkyne will also influence the prograss of cycle. I have to control the ratio and amount of TCEP and H2O2 very carefully.
@Lasith_S_K @EelkemaLab @syschem20 1-2 BME prefers to react with alkyne and alkene and TCEP prefers to react with disulfide but not air. So the oxidations by air are negligible in my system.
@Lasith_S_K @EelkemaLab @syschem20 Thanks for your questions. They are quite important points for my research.
1-1. Yes, I noticed them. In basic condition, mercaptoethanol (BME) and TCEP are easy to be oxidized by air. However, there are some competitions in my system.
@Lasith_S_K @EelkemaLab @syschem20 Thanks for your nice question! I didn't use any exogenous base. The thiol was deprotonated only by basic buffer (Phosphate Buffer, pH=8.2).
