#FullDayK engineers are thinking about the structure & function of useful tools.☂️🥁🍜🎒
Our hands-on exploration & discussion began in our classroom, & our discoveries & sharing continue in many meaningful ways! Proud of their connections to The Handiest Things in the World!
K scientists were excited to use a special tool, an infrared thermometer, to explore how the ☀️ heats different surfaces @WoodcrestES. We recorded how temperatures were different depending on the surface & whether it was in the ☀️ or ☁️! #WEareCHPS@CherryHillSTEM#WEareCHPS
Proud of these #FullDayK engineers for working as teams on our #KeepItCoolDesignChallenge! They planned, designed, & created model structures for our playground that would reduce the warming effect of the ☀️ for all of our friends! Excited to test these creative models on Monday!
We are focusing on #3D#assessment as part of our #Round4 field test training. Here are the four assessment criteria we use in our development work, which we adapted from @AchieveInc's Task Annotation Project in Science https://t.co/oh0ZAwt9Jh
Analyzing Angles is a POW that asks students to use geometric reasoning about angle relationships to determine measures of angles. Use #NCTMResources & let us know how you use this resource to engage all learners in mathematics! #iTeachMath#MTBoS https://t.co/Kxcg5PpM6d @nctm
Planting radish seeds & observing them each day inspired our #FullDayK scientists' curiosity! They're eager to learn more about seeds & growth, & they ❤️exploring in our Discovery Station filled with seeds, plants, books we've read as a class, photos, facts, & sensory "dirt."❓🔎
This is what the science and engineering practices look like in @ChpsTweets#Kindergarten classrooms! Thanks @jengutierrez18 for two inspiring days of professional learning about integrating science and ELA! @NSTA@PPSLessons
