Learned this week that my wife’s background check has been with @csiscanada since Sep 2024.
Just feeling tired, man. Waiting this long with so much uncertainty is hard 😔
Mother of two. Never worked in the military or intelligence. Never had a single immigration violation or overstay issue.
All parts of our PR application are done except her background check. Yet it has been stuck in a @csiscanada review since Sep 2024 with no updates or timeline
@GhostsofIRCC@SeanFraserMP If you ask these people, they've never undergone a comprehensive background check like us. And we are law-abiding people who contribute to the economy and society we are waiting 2.5 years to get results from our immigration application. Hope common sense people see @MarkJCarney
As a dad of two young children, this process is way too frustrating and tiring, man. Just no words; it is like screaming in the crowd, but no one hears you. 😞
Wondering, no adverse info from her GCMS notes, why CSIS is not conducting in person interviews? We are living and paying taxes since 2020. Just trying to get the rationale @GhostsofIRCC

Our PR application is fully completed except for a dependent’s comprehensive background check, which has been ongoing since Feb 2024 by @csiscanada. She has never worked in the military or intelligence.

After 20 months of silence, CBSA finally confirmed my spouse’s PR delay is stuck at CSIS, not IRCC. Her file was sent to CSIS on Sept 9, 2024 and is still “ongoing.” Would love ro hear your thoughts @GhostsofIRCC Thanks!
Dear @GhostsofIRCC,
Principal applicant (PR) A34 background check completed after 20 months but spouse still shows in process. Don’t have military background etc. usually how it works any comments? Thanks
@GhostsofIRCC Lol, good question. Know her really well, and all of her roles were civilian. She worked at a state-owned oil company as an engineer, not in a managerial position, in the Materials Resources Department (Former Soviet Country) and she works now in IT as a Software Developer. Odds?
