@Ashutosh_Sidh Never, because the efficient market hypothesis comes into play. If everyone uses AI, the advantage just cancels out. Of course, that doesn't mean that the tasks involved in a particular job won't change drastically.
Bruce Lee said that belts are only good for holding up your pants. The analogy extends somewhat to tech... The main issue I see is that pure self education often misses important aspects of a subject. For example, in math Ramanujan came up with some of the most difficult pi formulas imaginable, but didn't know what a complex number was.
@Corporate_CJP This happened to me ten years ago at a microscope company. After I finished adding all kinds of new data, the models got worse. Eventually I discovered that a lens cap had been left on in a small portion of the images, which confused the labels.
Chess lessons are expensive. Coaches and tutors are expensive. Annotated games take time and money to produce.
But millions of historical chess games are available for free as raw PGN files.
That's why I built Grandmaster Mode into ChessWave.
Train by making the same decisions as the greatest players in history, against moves from real games.
No annotations. No lesson plans. Just imitation learning from the masters.

I'm an average chess player, but whenever I play with my nephew, he always wants to know the best moves.
That's one of the reasons I built a chess scanner into ChessWave. Just point your phone at the board, and in under one second you can answer all questions. #chess#learning
@Alennushkaa In my opinion, the issue all along has been that existing abstractions and models don't really cover a lot of real life problems. If understanding is built on constructing models of real life, it may not be easy in the future.
@PI010101 The AI advances imply a completely different workflow is needed for pure mathematics now. The days of pencil and paper while watching seminars are finished.
@dntse I think the abstract reasoning has improved. A few months ago you'd ask Codex or Claude a math problem, and they'd regurgitate some old thinking or just go in endless circles. Now they're both much stronger.
@pickover This game is just brutal. One minute you think you're playing well and the next two queens take oddly diagonal routes and all your pieces are gone.
Lucie is the weakest engine in the ChessWave app. However, she has 3-4 piece tablebases built-in, so she can find checkmate occasionally.
The tablebases are also extremely useful for solving difficult checkmates. #chess
