This will be fast tracked for completion by 2027, the upgrades will include

- Physical barriers of 30 foot tall steel bollard fencing, filling gaps and upgrading in high-priority areas

- Technology integration of “Smart” features that includes sensors, cameras, surveillance towers, AI-driven detection, lighting, patrol roads, and monitoring systems. This allows real-time alerts for Border Patrol, reducing the need for constant physical presence in remote areas

The plan targets 1,400+ miles of primary Smart Wall, plus secondary barriers and waterborne systems
