"Why their institute is not approching courts ???? it ultimately CAs who are doing audits."

Also HC ask taht "their institute has give any representation ????"

This situation is not like that audits are being deffered till last date, this year due to extension of filing of ITR 3 & 4 to 31-8-2026,
only one month time available for audits, apart from this ICAI prescribed Vertical Format of Balance Sheet for proprietors having turnover above 5 crore, due to these two reasons there are problems in filing tax audit reports by 30th September. #Extend_due_date_immediatey

🚨 Rajasthan HC Update

Rajasthan HC has asked CBDT to issue clear instructions today itself on whether the Tax Audit due date is being extended or not.

The Court also observed that this issue should not be stretched till the last date.

And then came the biggest point - the Court told RTCA that if CAs are facing difficulties, it is the responsibility of ICAI to approach the High Court, since Tax Audit is primarily carried out by Chartered Accountants.

Now, let’s see what CBDT decides.

Next date: tomorrow for final instructions.
