Well what matters is side effects relative to the % of weight loss achieved, because patients may be able to use a lower Wegovy dose to achieve weight loss equivalent to Foundayo with much lower side effects... Discontinuation rates are also important, as they give a better indication of how severe or intolerable the side effects actually are in foundayo. $NVO
Unfortunately, many patients think Foundayo is based on tirzepatide. It isn’t. It’s orforglipron, and the GI side effects appear significantly worse that $NVO wegovy pill…
📈 Wow. Lilly is on a tear since the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program launched at the beginning of July, based on IQVIA data:
▪️Last week, Zepbound hit 805.7K scripts 🔥, while Foundayo grew to 64k scripts as well (a 20% increase week over week), now accounting for 26% of the oral obesity market, giving Lilly 870K total weekly scripts and 62.5% of the US GLP-1 market share in obesity
▪️Wegovy pill scripts continue to hover at ~180K, with ~340K for the injectable, for a weekly Wegovy total of 519.6K
▪️Since the end of June, Lilly total week to week scripts in the market have jumped by 186k, compared to 55K for Wegovy (all forms)
NOTE: Wegovy has a lower IQVIA capture rate than Lilly

Adding more $VKTX shares. Already have plenty, but when the market hands you a gift, you take it.
This market has a hard time looking one year ahead to Phase 3 results, let alone two and a half years ahead to commercialization...
non farm payrolls:
"Over the past 12 months, average hourly earnings have increased by 3.0 percent"
Average hourly earnings keep cooling, which is positive for inflation and reduces the risk of a second inflation wave. Good for markets!

@nav_dhand market has started to discount obesity players like $VKTX, with one thesis, IMO, being that tirzepatide’s moat is impossible to break and it’s simply the best drug
But if you follow biotech experts on X, you quickly realize that VK2735 may be the best drug we’ve seen so far.
$LITE CEO Michael Hurlston at the Global Photonics Conference:
“The best is yet to come. We are just in the early innings of a major optical revolution.”

@InvestmentGuru_ To me, the 2028 $AAOI $450 target looks grounded in reality. And to be fair, it's total non sense to value a business growing 100 % + with P/E.... Looking at P/S and gross profit margin is much more interesting.
At the end of the day, fundamentals drive the share price.
@nav_dhand Next milestones for $VKTX, I'd say the oral maintenance study should arrive before PH3 results, we should have more information in the next earnings release.
I’m also keeping an eye on the amylin program. VK3019 Phase 1 results should come around december / janurary.
@mind1nvestor Don’t buy $NVO, semaglutide is badly underperforming vs tirzapetide…. Novo is loosing market share for a good reason, the pipeline is also years behind...
$AAOI I don’t think the $600M ATM is “kneecapping” the stock like many here seem to think. $600M isn’t even close to the average daily trading volume.
The stock is simply consolidating. Fundamentals haven’t changed. The next leg is obviously up.
$VKTX could have some financing arbitrage behind the recent weakness.
Investors buying the equity/convertible may have shorted VKTX to hedge, adding selling pressure.
It could explain part of the downtrend despite strong VK2735 data. Share price will recover soon IMO
@BenBikmanPhD $VKTX VK2735 is much better: similar efficacy with significantly fewer side effects. I wouldn’t take retatrutide long term, given the many unknowns surrounding the glucagon component.
I’m very long $AAOI, so I wanted to share a short article I put together after some DD on optics.
It’s less about $AAOI specifically and more about the physics behind optics.
I hope it helps make a complicated topic a little easier to understand.

@roarkhoward43 well a lot of investors obiously hedge their shares above the price of the offering too but there is also so panic selling etc, it does not explain everything for sure, I agree with you on that, it's quite a volatile stock.
