True story. I have found myself working with organisations that want a communications strategy when what they really need is a behaviour-change strategy.

They want the public to trust them, yet their transparency is questionable.

I have even seen organisations focus more on how polished their apologies sound than on taking accountability for their actions.

One thing every PR and communications expert should understand is that PR can help shape perception, but it can never permanently hide the gap between what you say and what you do.
