@BongoLaserworks @ACLU I was 16 when I got into college and 17 when I got there, alone with no money to my name. My adopted grandma consigned that first loan. It was pages I couldn't decipher, but if I didn't I'd be homeless. That 10k was paid off as 22k over 15yrs later. Never deferred or paused.

@Angelicasway @KimMangone Because when I paid off a loan that was 10k, I had paid 22k to pay it back. I've made payments to this point that would have covered the principal of what I loaned and more, I paid on my loans while I was in college, and still pay them now, 17 years later. For a state college.
