I value therapy because I often refer to myself as being broken.
Therapy is helping me to mend myself with gold instead of using the duct tape and bubblegum I have on hand.
I’m working so I can truly look & feel like the masterpiece I was created to be.
Thought a lot today about how people often compare their trauma to others.
No one’s trauma is bigger or smaller than anyone else’s, and trying to ‘out trauma’ someone is just throwing yourself a pity party no one asked for.
Sometimes when you struggle with your own self worth, completing a basic task is hard.
It’s a little bit harder when your job is teaching and impacting the minds of students.
Making it hurt a little more when you fall short.
Time to reconnect with basic needs & refresh.

...taught my children
...played with my children
...listened to my children
...loved my children
they did it all this week.
"They" are teachers. Not lawmakers, teachers. And it is teachers, not opressive laws, that I trust with my children
