You can see my art and the pieces of other talented individuals on display at Mayo Clinic and the Rochester Art Center until November 1st. Excited to see this exhibit in person! https://t.co/GyzuhzOm3z
Cedar Rapids is bleeding right now. Power will likely be down for weeks. Cell service is essentially non existent. My parents woods lost around 80-90% of its trees. The only upside? At night you can see the Milky Way in the sky as you listen to the roar of generators. #derecho
This is near my parents home in Cedar Rapids, IA. Essentially a hurricane, with no warning and 100mph+ winds suddenly hit the whole of Eastern Iowa today. Apparently a Derecho hitting Iowa is the new move by 2020.
What’s so astonishing is that this type of massive damage is so widespread in Cedar Rapids. This is along Oakland Rd NE, but @mobrientv and I have seen damage like this all over the NE side, and I saw similar on the NW side earlier @KCRG@KCRG_FirstAlert
@cleebennett 1. Otolaryngology surgical resident at Mayo Clinic, interested in reconstruction and cosmetics, especially as it can relate to facial gender affirmation surgery! Also wife to a beautiful woman and dog mom to two puppers. 🐶🐶🏳️🌈
2. I need more queer med twitter family members!
Was studying outside when a parakeet landed on my textbook, pooped on it, then nudged my hand. It has a tag and is clearly tamed. Three hours, one donated cage by a kind stranger and many peanuts later and we now have a bird while we search for his owner. I named him Nori.
@PranatiPillutla@MayoENTresident Hey! Current PGY1 almost PGY2 and can say the apprenticeship model is so so amazing. To be first assist/lead surgeon from PGY1 and have continuity from clinic—>OR—> followup is awesome. Its like 10 wk mini fellowships where you can focus 100% on that subject alone.
