@Jh2059@Chicago_Goofies Maybe there isn’t, but it has still made accessing areas more difficult for both emergency vehicles and folks looking to visit local businesses along these stretches. Becomes easier to avoid these areas than deal with the congestion. Don’t think that’s helpful for a neighborhood.
@Jh2059@Chicago_Goofies There are a number of areas where parking spaces have been eliminated and replaced by curbs bordering bike lanes making it impossible for either side to pull over. This shouldn’t be autos vs bikes, the streets should be intelligently accessible for everybody.
@SSBehavior I imagine losing Jose abreu in that clubhouse changed a lot of the dynamics. It felt like once they lost their on field leader their team fractured and fell apart.
@312_native I can’t keep letting ppl be so misled. This place is super mids, thought I must’ve had a fluke experience, but both times. Super mids. What about this spot do ppl like so much?
@tom_paints Love that the multibillion dollar franchise has ppl hating on one another instead of them. They charge $20 for fifty cents worth of beer or a hot dog and $200+ for tickets, but need tax payer money to subsidize the ability to rip fans off. Sell the team.
@soxmachine_josh Was there a few days ago, was maybe a 4/10 steak and a 2/10 dining experience. When the potato is the star of a $60 show, we got problems. Dinner today @ Texas Roadhouse, much to my surprise as a first timer, blew drover away. 30% cheaper too.
@RanWithThePlan The pure wrestling isn’t on par with a guy like Bret hart for instance. But his impact as an entertainer in ring and on mic is arguably unparalleled, at least for that era.
@Dzikhead@chibbqk1ng I agree, it’s a shame. The banter between genuine baseball fans, proper heckling of players, all of it can be in good faith. But seems the boozing and egos always take things way too far, becomes barely about baseball. Don’t get me started on twitter algo fed beef.
@chibbqk1ng One of my best friends was a cubs fan. Lost a bet to him where the loser had to get the other team’s logo tattooed. Sounds like he enjoyed life similarly to your homie and unfortunately led to him not being able to see the bet fulfilled.
@PaweSzw@Chicago_History@ChicagoSunTimes Oh, I forgot, I should be grateful for the privilege of using my tax dollars to help support an industry that charges 100000x mark ups bc they employ 800 ppl who mostly make minimum wage and couldn’t themselves afford to attend games with their families.
