If you want your children NOT to grow up with a POOR mindset, avoid the following:
- Giving them an allowance.
- Letting them save.
- Telling them "we can't afford it."
Instead, do this:
Two wrongs can coexist!
He is a fool and you are a thief.
Why are you collecting money from a man you know his intentions and not ready to meet his intention?
In as much as he is a foolish low self esteem idiot, you are a shameless thief too

Several men of God in the Bible refused money and material gifts (especially from questionable people) to keep their motives pure, reputation intact and to honour God. Here are examples:
Abraham Refuse Sodom King Offer
•Context: After Abraham won a battle to rescue his nephew Lot, the King of Sodom offered him all the captured goods and wealth. Abraham refused to take even a thread or a sandal strap.
•Reason: He did not want anyone to say that the King of Sodom made Abraham rich; as he relied only on God (Genesis 14:21–23).
Elisha Refuses Naaman’s Gift
•Context: Naaman was a Syrian commander cured of his leprosy by the prophet Elisha through God's power. Naaman tried to give Elisha a rich gift of silver, gold, and clothes. Elisha firmly turned down the entire offering.
•Reason: He wanted to show that God's healing is a free gift and cannot be bought or sold (2 Kings 5:15–16).
•
Daniel Refuses Belshazzar’s Rewards
•Context: The Babylonian king Belshazzar saw a mysterious handwriting on the wall and promised Daniel purple clothing, a gold chain, and a high government position if he could read it. Daniel told the king to keep his gifts or give them to someone else.
•
•Reason: Daniel still interpreted the message, but he made it clear he did not work for a price because the gift of God cannot be bought or sold. (Daniel 5:17).
I just read this in an article and I thought to share. May our dearly beloved Nigerian pastors know when to say no to Greek gifts that will ruin their reputation and discredit the name of the God they represent- if indeed they truly know God.
