@maddiestone , love your PPT on vulnerabilities in preinstalled apps. looking at the challenges you faced with dynamic analysis, i was wondering if dynamic analysis can be done on apks extracted from the ota zips, without actually having the OEM device?

@maddiestone The reason why I used a one plus full rom was because I wanted to see if I could load a full rom from a different OEM, into a Nexus phone. The Nexus is all I have now for a physical device

@maddiestone That's where I am running into issues, I tried installing the apps on a virtualized device and that didnt work. I also tried installing the full rom (oneplus 5t) on a Nexus 5 and that didn't work too. I was wondering what was the setup u used for dynamic analysis. Did u use OEM?
