12th of May, @ChiamFosc had its official project launching workshop at @DeKUTkenya. The event attracted large stakeholder and media interest - with showcasing also the recently built mushroom growing house! #chia #oystermushroom #climatesmart

@DeKUTkenya and Keyrio Farm carried out a fact finding mission in March to identify oyster mushroom farming practices in Kenya. Oyster mushroom producers and @DiscoverJKUAT were visited. The information gathered will help to improve @ChiamFosc.

Students of @DeKUTkenya and experts of @UniHohenheim visited Bay Zoltan Nonprofit Ltd. in Szeged and Pilze-Nagy Ltd. in Kecskemét. Now, after seeing the process of oyster mushroom production, the students are ready to develop new food products for Kenya!

International cooperation is needed to eradicate starvation. @DeKUTkenya has engaged researchers under sandwich program with @UniHohenheim to optimize the fortification of local products based on chia and oyster mushroom. Kenyan students will start the work in Germany soon!

Chia breeding in progress within the international cooperation of @ChiamFosc! Colleagues of @CRSTRAbiskra from Algeria visited the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) in Giza, Egypt in January to check chia experimental locations!
