kazui got more depressed each trial while also getting skinnier, meaning there is possible correlation. therefore if he healed and was happier with himself, he'd get fat #shutthefuckupchibi
[THREAD] 🇫🇷 France is sliding into a dictatorship : Please read !
1. Our gouvernement wants to "temporarily" ban social medias so we can't communicate to prepare protestations and to cut our connection with the whole world. This is a direct assault on freedom of expression.

I'm a dental student in Gaza🇵🇸, providing free treatment to patients at my university clinic but between tuition and supplies, the costs pile up quickly. If you'd like to support, even a little goes a long way..🥺🦷

Before the genocide, Gaza had approximately 2 million olive trees. More than 90% have been lost to the occupation's destruction. Trees that stood for generations, providing food, income, and sustenance to Palestinian families, are gone.
Help Gaza here: https://t.co/YR8kpxmtBQ
The olive harvest is more than a tradition in Palestine. It is our history, our identity, and our connection to the land passed down through generations.
Despite the loss and destruction, here in Nuseirat on October 8, we are still teaching children how to harvest olives from the trees that remain. Despite everything they have lost, families still feel blessed by what their land provides.
This is Palestine. Gratitude for every olive, love for every tree, and a determination to pass these traditions to the next generation.
They cannot uproot Palestinians from Palestine. Stand with Gaza and donate to our General Fund: https://t.co/YR8kpxmtBQ

i actually really like this scene in throw down because of how well it highlights his apathetic nature. at first it seems as if he's looking at the couple with a sad expression on his as an act of sympathy, before it pans to them being jarringly out of focus even while in frame.
i think he feels bad but it's not any strong feeling. something like "it's unfortunate it's come to this, but it is what it is" or something like that. i don't think he's devoid of any sort of emotion towards others but i don't particularly think they're super strong.
does he feel bad? yes i'm sure. but in the end his goal is to save lives, and if this person, who he deems as dead, is able to serve that purpose then he's not going to dwell hard on the emotional impact this has on those affected (nor will he question the ethics of it all)
i think there are many different ways to view and interpret throw down, which is why i still hold it dear to me particularly because of how the well the symbolism is used and how much of it can be analyzed, fit in with what we know, and interpreted. or something like dat idk lol
shidou did not view these people as 'truly alive', regardless of if they are really 'dead' or not. the only life they seem to ever have is when they are aiding another. or at least, that is an interpretation i hold.
