I'm happy to share that Chicagoans have a new data tool for learning more about how gov invests in communities. Every moment of the development of this site involved painstaking attention to our residents' experience. This site gives access to info about what gov does for you.
The new first-of-its-kind data transparency website uses interactive maps to view CRP investments in your community, explore different CRP programs, & track progress & impact! To learn more about @chicagosmayor's Chicago Recovery Plan (CRP), visit: https://t.co/hfTXkJA7jl

@chicagobars@gilbert36ward@ChicagoOIG We think you found an older URL that is no longer exposed publicly, and are working to verify that and make sure this unhelpful experience is not happening.

This is the newest edition to Chicago's mobility datasets. You can find Divvy, ridehail, public transit and taxi data at https://t.co/pxe7AvzzVg, as well as additional data at https://t.co/jvOsT45i0v, https://t.co/eY9hvDOMM7, and https://t.co/aHjR6aKYaH.
🚨Open Data Alert🚨 - Chicago has launched scooter trip datasets. This data starts with the beginning of the scooter program in May 2022. See the new data here. https://t.co/iomr4UajUW. Future scooter trips will show up in the dataset to make it easier for analysis.
Check out the new expanded pedestrian space and contraflow bike lane on Wellington at Kimball. Nice neighborhood connection to the new protected bike lanes on Kedzie, which can get you to the upcoming Belmont complete streets project.
@chi_urbanist The census tract data has a trip count field since they are aggregations. It’s the count of trips that had that same origin/destination pair. Summing the counts should get you correct numbers.

@chi_urbanist Some trips are removed from the census tract data to protect privacy, when the total trip count is very low. About 4% were removed from the 2022 dataset for this reason. It’s the same practice we’ve maintained for other mobility datasets.
Before the permanent scooter program, we had pilots in 2019 and 2020 (no scooters in Chicago in 2021). The pilots have their own datasets. https://t.co/c2ceLNprd7
