I really wish Nigerian women were bolder in some aspects. When we’re sourcing guests with life experiences, we’ve found that women are a lot more reticent to speak on camera. Still at it sha.
Meanwhile, Nigerian cities desperately need to bring back urban planning. There is no good reason for everywhere to look like dustbin. We are not cursed.
Her and Kalu were a clear mismatch though. For someone the movie portrayed as intelligent and self-aware, you’d think it would be obvious to her. Ironically, Kalu seemed to be the only one who recognised it hence the breakup..
My one wahala with how everyone looks at soluchi in “call of my life” is that she’s no saint.
She wanted to be loved the way she wanted to be loved I don’t think she showed love to at least Kalu the way Kalu would’ve have wanted to be loved.
My wife and I took a 3.5-month sabbatical this year!
It was life changing. We went to:
- Barcelona
- Paris
- Marrakech
- Japan (lived there for 2 months)
We set up our businesses to run without us so we could focus on each other and our experience. Every day we'd wake up and decide what we wanted to experience every day
One day, I wanted to visit an umbrella shop that's been making umbrellas by hand for 100 years. Another day, we went to an art class
We love design & architecture, so we set up private tours in Morocco & Kyoto to explore craftsmanship, textiles, and interior design
We're not really into fine dining so we skipped eating at super-nice restaurants and found our favorite bakeries & yakitori spots
We had some custom art made from local artisans
And since I'm a hotel guy, I chose some of the world's most inspiring hotels to stay at. I usually take the manager out for a walk around the property and ask them about their business, clientele, and the hotel itself
It was truly life changing
Btw, I'm giving a presentation covering the details of our sabbatical:
- How we planned it
- Where we stayed
- What we splurged on & what we didn't really care about spending $ on
- How we stayed in shape
- What we spent our time doing

Recently went to buy fabric for new curtains. Needed about 40 yards and at some point, I stopped paying attention while they were cutting the fabric. They folded everything up, but I just thought to recheck before leaving.
Turns out the guy had cut only 31 yards instead… a whole 9 yards short, for really expensive curtains.
This country is rotten from top to bottom:
1. I went to a resort today and the receptionist was whispering to me that he will give me a discount if I paid it into another account instead of the company account.

a little ‘poison’ won’t hurt us.
