And I say this with humility: I repented of it long ago.

There was a season when something came over me.

She calmly befriended those same women.

One by one, they became her friends… even her best friends.

I still don’t know how she did it.
One day, I jokingly told her,
“You have taken all my babes”
And we laughed.

But looking back now, I see wisdom.
I see strength.
I see maturity.
I see grace.

My wife has grown, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually.

And I am deeply grateful I did not lose her to my own restlessness.

Men, let us calm down.
What we are looking for “outside” is often growing quietly at home.

Protect it.
Nurture it.
Choose it, again and again. 🙏🏿

I had lots of mixed feelings reading this. I remember when I arrived Canada, I asked hubby, all these years you've been alone, how's sex life? He said he has a lady that pops in and out when he needs sex. I started scanning all his friends and one woman, a bit older than him, she is rich, pure breed caucasian. I noticed that whenever he says he's coming, she will make nice dishes of food, veggies, and upon arrival, they always kissed right before me, I'll just sigh... because he once lived in France and Montreal, so he speaks French fluently, and he said that's the culture, guest kissed, Lagos babe wey no Sabi. Meanwhile, whenever she calls him to come visit, I'll calmly say, aww, I'll love to go with you, she cooks nice food, I miss her meal. So, he doesnt visit her alone anymore.
So, she asked him on one of our visit, Is it that mattress in your room that you and your wife still sleeps on? Gbam! My Lagos mind arose" chaiii" she's the one. 😆 🤣 😂
He just smiled. I focused on the chicken, well cooked. Then she said, well, I have a new king size mattress, I can give you. Immediately, I said, Thanks peret. We will come pick it up.
Then rather than call him, she's always calling me, to come pick this and that up, then she became a very very close friend of the family. My kids starts calling her grandma peret. Oneday, I told him, for her to know how the mattress feels, hmmm, I'm sure the deal has ended now sha?? 😆 🤣
Truth is, a woman who wants to stay in her marriage will endure so much but it is not a good place for any woman to be.
Not for someone like me because I will consider it disrespectful if he had continued embracing her emotionally.
No woman should be made to go through that stress in her marriage, not when she's doing her best to make her marriage work.
Men should respect their wives enough to set healthy boundaries around opposite sex. Having a woman that will give you all" is priceless.
Not all will stay, those who talks about it or complain aren't morally unwise or weak. Some women are fine with polygamy but not all women.
Know who you marry and please be an intentional man in your marriage.
She deserves to tell a story of you never cheating on her too.
