In the 20th century, C.D. Howe authorized the beginning of Canada's nuclear energy age with three simple words: "Okay, let's go." Over the next 80 years, we became a Tier-One nuclear nation, powered by our own natural uranium and innovative, first-class Canadian scientists and workers. Today, I am proud to build on that legacy with the release of Canada's first-ever Nuclear Energy Strategy — a plan to meet growing energy demand at home and abroad with clean, reliable, sovereign power. Our Strategy charts a path forward across four priorities: 🔹 Enabling new builds across Canada. 🔹 Establishing Canada as a global supplier and exporter of choice through a coordinated Team Canada approach. 🔹 Expanding uranium production and securing our fuel cycle. 🔹 Investing in Canadian innovation This is more than an energy plan. It is an industrial strategy, a pillar of our energy security, and an instrument of our foreign policy. It means high-quality jobs, a road to a clean grid, and diversifying our trading partners around the world. The opportunity before us is significant, and the moment calls for action. We've done it before, and we can do it again — so okay, let's go. 🇨🇦
