Happy Independence Day, Guard Nation!
From sea to shining sea and beyond, your National Guard is Always Ready, Always There, as we celebrate America's 250th birthday.

.@ChiefNGB "You all have SAVED OVER 235 LIVES.
You have PROVIDED MORE THAN 530 MEDICAL ASSISTS
You have RESTORED CHILDREN BACK TO THEIR FAMILIES 27 TIMES
You have DONE AMAZING THINGS IN SUPPORT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT TO MAKE SURE WE REDUCE CRIME."
This year, we mark an extraordinary milestone: the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. As we reflect on America’s journey, we recognize a story deeply intertwined with the legacy of the National Guard. Especially as we commemorate two and a half centuries of independence, our thoughts remain with our deployed warfighters. Standing watch on our borders and overseas, you represent the absolute best of America. To our resilient families standing strong at home: we owe you our deepest gratitude. Your strength sustains our force. We wish you all a safe and happy Independence Day. With our collective strength, we stand—Always Ready, Always There.
Had the incredible opportunity to ride on a @NASA profile flight in the UH-72 Lakota with NASA astronaut Nichole “Vapor” Ayers and HAATS instructor pilot CW4 Ethan Jacobs.
This powerful partnership between NASA and the @CONG1860 at HAATS is training Artemis astronauts in high-altitude conditions that closely simulate lunar landings — mastering power management, rugged terrain navigation and split-second decisions needed for the Moon’s South Pole.
Great to see @USArmy National Guard excellence helping get us back to the Moon!

Our warfighters are our greatest weapon system, and Holistic Health and Fitness Integrators, like Staff Sgt. Kevin Marino of the @LANationalGuard, are keeping our Soldiers and Airmen ready for the fight.
Whether you have a full gym or just a grassy field and some cones, get out there and get after it, Guard Nation!

ACROSS THE 54: @OregonGuard engineers successfully tested a drone-delivered Bangalore torpedo to breach wire obstacles, reducing risk to Soldiers in one of combat's most hazardous missions. Outstanding innovation!

Meet Sgt. 1st Class Jeremy Hubbard, a Black Hawk mechanic, search and rescue hoist operator and one of the highly skilled Soldiers making a difference at Colorado's High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site.
Whether supporting warfighting readiness, responding to domestic emergencies, or training the next generation of aviators (even NASA Artemis astronauts!), HAATS Soldiers are #AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere!
The National Guard is having another fantastic recruiting year, and it was my privilege to administer the oath of enlistment to the newest Soldiers & Airmen joining the Louisiana National Guard in New Orleans this week. Their decision to serve reflects a commitment to their communities, their state and our Nation.
@NGB_SEA Raines and I welcome you to our 435,000-strong team. Huge thanks to you and your families for answering the call!
#AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere
At Colorado’s High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, @NGB_SEA Raines and I met the outstanding Soldiers who live the National Guard’s three core missions every day: building warfighting readiness, supporting domestic operations and strengthening partnerships.
These same Soldiers have saved 561 lives since 1986 through high-altitude search and rescue, and now they’re using that elite mountain flying expertise to help train @NASA’s Artemis astronauts for lunar landings.
Proud to see American Soldiers pushing the edge of what’s possible — on Earth and beyond.
#AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere
This week, @NGB_SEA Raines and I visited the Kansas Air National Guard’s 184th Wing, where we met 2nd Lt. Blake Elliott, Red Air Director for the Point Defense Battle Lab.
From enlisting in 2009 and supporting critical Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions, to leading the Air National Guard’s only red-team aggressor mission, Blake’s journey is truly impressive. Now shaping the future of aggressor operations and counter-UAS tactics in support of Air Combat Command, he’s helping keep our forces ready for today’s threats.
A proud second-generation Kansas Guardsman, service is the family business for the Elliotts—his wife, father, brother, sister, and sister-in-law have all served. Incredible dedication!
#AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere
To our National Guard Warfighters and Families,
We offer our deepest gratitude for your service and sacrifice. We understand that our operations defending the homeland, both on our Nation’s soil and globally engaged, place additional stress on you and your loved ones. To our Warfighters, spouses, parents, friends, military children, supportive employers, and trusted neighbors, please accept our appreciation. Together, you form the backbone of the National Guard.
Thank you for keeping your promise to America.

251 years strong!
CSM Kendrick and I celebrate the Soldiers, Families, and veterans who make America’s Army the greatest fighting force in the world.
Happy Birthday, @USArmy! 🇺🇸

Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Army!
From America’s earliest days and beyond, your National Guard is always ready to answer our Nation’s call with courage, discipline and unbreakable resolve.
This We’ll Defend.

For 251 years, we have fought for and defended our Nation’s freedom. 🇺🇸
From Washington’s militias to today’s premier fighting force, the U.S. Army has adapted to stay ahead.
We’re just getting started.

Great to meet Capt. Phil Halamka, commander of the @MINationalGuard's 1432nd Engineer Support Company. These Soldiers are helping our Latvian partners build one of the largest multinational, multipurpose ranges in the Baltics. Another example of State Partnership Program-enabled deterrence and collective defense!

In 1993, the @DeptofWar National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program was born in the Baltics. The SPP has matured into one of the U.S. military’s most enduring, cost-effective and strategically agile security cooperation tools.

Standing in the rain on Omaha Beach, honoring the Bedford Boys and a family legacy of service.
Under gray skies, Sgt. 1st Class Justin Assenat of the Virginia National Guard's 29th Infantry Division helped honor Virginia's own.
For him, it was personal: his grandfather, Sgt. William Raymond Hurd, landed here with Company D, 116th Infantry Regiment on D-Day, 82 years ago. Two generations of the same proud National Guard family.
From Normandy to today, your National Guard is #AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere
PARTNERSHIPS IN ACTION: Michigan Army National Guard Soldiers from the 107th Engineer Battalion are hard at work alongside our Latvian partners, constructing a major staging and assembly area in southeast Latvia.
This site will become one of the largest multinational operational and training ranges in the Baltics — strengthening deterrence, readiness and collective defense across the region.
