The inaugural #CoastSnap Users meeting held as part of the #CoastalImagingResearchNetwork workshop in Toulouse. What a wonderful day talking community beach monitoring!
‘Storm Waves at the Shoreline: When and Where Are Infragravity Waves Important?’ - Our new paper exams infragravity waves at the shoreline of 5 contrasting beaches under storm conditions. Huge thanks to @prussellsurf@mdavidson64 and the @pu_cprg team. https://t.co/T0GDtAN6aW

New @BLUEcoastUK paper out on coastal embayment rotation by PhD @ChiefoBanjo - free download: https://t.co/TAwWb3ntWS. Data obtained with groundbreaking total sediment approach perfected by @pu_cprg. @PlymUniResearch
The road to the properties at Beesands Cellars has totally gone over night and the wall to the football pitch breached. The wooden telegraph poles from the middle Slapton carpark have washed up where the Beesands winching sheds used to be...
Slapton Line is broken. Beach Management Plan advises for short-term to reroute section of damaged road to the back of the barrier. Long-term? I expect drop-in session on 7 March will be well attended!
Best of luck to @BLUEcoastUK team working hard to collect #data on #coastal conditions at Start Bay, #Devon in challenging conditions. This research will help us better understand coastal processes in the area & inform future #flood & coastal #erosion@EnvAgencySW@OfficialPCO
26/02,27/02 and 02/03 at Torcross, Devon. Gravel has built up as waves overtopped the barrier resulting in this dramatic change to the landscape in just 4 days. Gravel and debris from the sea got as far as The Ley over this mornings high tide. @BBCSpotlight@BBCDevon @pu_cprg
