Your average Nigerian man watches porn videos and decides that's the standard. Thirty minutes minimum. One hour preferred. Anything less and you're not man enough.
So he goes to Abakaliki street. He buys concoctions, herbal mixtures, hard drugs, energy cocktails anything to perform like a porn actor on a film set.
And some of them die on top of the woman.
You hardly hear of men dying on top of their wives. Because with their wives, they perform normally. It's the outside woman they want to impress.
For the record — the clinically normal and healthy sex duration is 5 to 7 minutes.
The porn industry sold you a lie. And some men are paying for it with their lives.
@archie_lochie But the question becomes, do you keep up your premium subscription for the passion of it? It quite a privilege if you can afford to see your tweet do numbers because of the sense it makes. That's what premium afford it's subscribers. Passion then equal payment for more numbers.
Jesus told a rich man who asked him what he must do to get eternal life that he should sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor.
This is in Luke 18:18-25.
I know it is an act of selflessness, but if he sells all his possessions for the poor, wouldn't he be poor?
Did Jesus intend to make him poor? Should you not be rich while serving Him?
Is wealth a burden for those who follow Jesus?
Many top pastors are rich. Joel Osteen, a popular televangelist, owns a $10 million mansion.
I read somewhere in an article that if you earn $40,000 in a year, you're in the top 3-5% of wage earners globally.
Top 3-5%
In naira, that'll be like ₦54 million per year, and ₦4.5 million per month.
Let's say those who earn ₦1 million monthly should be at least in the top 10% of the world.
So, why did Jesus tell that man to do that? Is it necessary for Christians to be rich?
@archie_lochie But instead, he meant that he should make wealth 2nd-tier when it comes to the quest for eternal life. Because if the quest for wealth stands together with the quest for eternal life, Mammon would win all of time. Make money secondary in your heavenly race. This was the meaning.
@archie_lochie Jesus was the kind of man who don't just give advices, but instead he uses parables and metaphors to pass deep messages that would shake your being if you uncover its true meaning. Telling the rich man to give his wealth away wasn't just him saying he should literally become poor
@FinestDoveTruth He said it, ".. Eve was given freedom". Eve should not have been given freedom. Adam shouldn't have tested Eve to be responsible and honorable on her own. Simple. Adam's mistake was not taking into account the nature of irresponsibility Eve might have if left to her dictates
@_Somtochi Weak? Yes sometimes. But most people haven't really learnt how their bodies work. Because they haven't really been in a stable intimate relationship to learn about their bodies and they have gotten derailed as to what sex is meant to be by the pop culture's idea of it and porn.
Thanks to contraceptives and condoms that made people feel "safe", when safety is never really assured. And it gave people the false idea of "free" sex too.
The fact that people are willing to have sex with complete strangers before knowing their health status is one of the wildest things society normalized.
