@_DeadSlug_ Price is too high. You're not just competing with AI, but also other artists who live in lower-income regions of the world who can afford to charge considerably less since money (especially USD) goes a lot further in their countries.
beta 1.7.3 felt a lot like actually being inside of a world rather than doing a list of things inside of a fancied sandbox, everything was a lot more meaningful. If im playing singleplayer minecraft its either gregtech or 1.7.3 everything else is really just boring
@planefag@DrewPavlou The house isn't what's worth money, it's the land. Developers will buy it, demolish the house, subdivide the land, and build 5 shoebox houses on the block that they will sell for 800k a piece.
"Hey guys. As you may know, something happened recently. Now that Reddit has had a chance to form a consensus on it, I'm going to repeat what they're saying in a really boring monotone voice and act like their opinions are actually my own."
Here is a practical reality lesson of being an employee, especially at a small company like LTT that grows.
You can't necessarily expect your "worth" to actually be worth more than any other employee, just by the nature of being one of the first.
If you didn't negotiate a vested interest in your employment contract, then "you get what you get and you don't get upset" when the company grows.
And your role is going to change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. That's not necessarily the companies fault. Some employees will win with the changes, some will lose, it's the nature of the beast.
And when the market and/or government policy screws you out of the ability to own a home, you can't expect your employer to radically hike your pay to match your dreams. That almost never happens.
If you want a radical step up in pay then you usually have to change jobs. Or take a risk and start your own business.
I wish Jake the best of luck.

A huge reason the right wing is so fixated on Will Stancil:
Many of them walked this exact path. They were bright-eyed chungus libtards who genuinely did just want healthcare for everyone
Eventually, they realized influential people on the left didn’t ACTUALLY want the healthcare stuff (or they would be acting very differently, and supporting very different policies)
So they abandoned the left, jaded and fairly poisoned against the whole thing
When they look at Will Stancil, they see themselves from a decade ago. And not in a good way
It’s like gazing into a mirror and seeing a retarded, disfigured version of yourself staring back at you
It makes you want to lash out violently to shatter the reflection
