It is with our sincere hope that @vancouverdlc & @OrganizeBC take leadership in acknowledging the harm & silencing of Yuly, CAG & other panellists. This is the oppty for them to demonstrate what open, principled criticism with the intention of working class unity looks like.

If you're in Van and you've tried to organize w/ some of the people in CATA before, you'll know how quickly they are to throw out inflammatory accusations that harm movements & solidarity.

So until a substantive critique is actually given, I think it's fair to give the benefit of the doubt to organizers who have concretely served the people and not activists who have a record of alienating potential allies. Listen to @ChinatownAction on this one.

i was in writing/ prep mode when this happened tues. since the invite to this, its all been strange tbh & i add strange for mͫeͤ. Will explain later. Anyhow, the "Coalition" tweet above was after I'd told one CAT to feck off, and they replied "didnt think you'd take TERF side"

i was stunned that i was involved in the thing at all. it was a big deal. 20 minutes. i was nervous & excited; it was like getting ready to open an art show, except it mattered. {ahem.}
Now, a person(s) somehow got me on that panel.

look what this sort of thing has led to in the #DTES. This is what they will pull on people who disagree with them (all of them), or Don't Know Their Place. It will never occur to them that there are consequences or that other people are human.

@SadistHailey @vancouverdlc @ChinatownAction "We oppose human trafficking & sex slavery & seek to center & support victims of these oppressive practices..."-This very statement is all I heard @chanYULY actually discuss in her work. I'm confused why you can claim otherwise & disappointed she's been removed from the panel.
