Today, in honor of International Women’s History Month, we delve into Section 17 of the Zimbabwean Constitution.
Gender Balance: A powerful mandate! The state is duty-bound to champion full gender balance within Zimbabwean society. But what does this mean?
Promoting Equality: The state must actively foster equal participation of women and men across all spheres of Zimbabwean society.
Inclusive Participation: Women’s voices, talents, and contributions deserve recognition and amplification. Whether in politics, business, education, or culture, women must have an equal seat at the table.
Empowering Women: It’s not just about numbers; it’s about empowerment. Women should have equal access to opportunities, resources, and decision-making.
So, let’s celebrate the progress made and continue striving for a Zimbabwe where gender equality isn’t just a dream—it’s our reality!
