Today, August 23, 2026, BRGIE Contingent to Prime Minister- Simon Ekpa’s Appeal Proceedings in Finland, visited a remarkably historic church in the heart of Helsinki.

The Church in the rock (Temppeliaukio Church) was constructed around the time of the Nigeria - Biafra war (1967-1970). Finnish students protested against spending money to build the Church and instead asked for the money to be sent to Biafra.

As a demonstration of their moral conviction and compassion towards Biafrans, the Finnish students etched “Biafra” on the basement wall of the magnificent Church. It is breathtaking. See for yourself on the attached picture.

This gesture from Finnish students, the story of Finnish children contributing money for Biafra Children, and Jean Sibelius’s contribution to Biafra Anthem, make Finland an enduring international friend, regardless of the disposition of the present day politicians.

SIMON EKPA APPEAL: DEFENCE CASE COMPLETED, CLOSING STATEMENTS NEXT WEEK

MY CLOSING REMARKS, SIMON EKPA APPEAL

The Defence has now completed its cross examination and its case.

My position is the same that what has emerged from these proceedings is that the prosecution evidence must be tested against one fundamental question:

“Does it actually establish, beyond the required legal standard, Simon Ekpa’s personal responsibility for the specific criminal acts alleged against him?”

The Defence has rigorously challenged the credibility and reliability of the prosecution witnesses and the interpretation placed upon the evidence.

The material presented from the security experts has also been challenged as largely theoretical and insufficient, in the Defence’s view, to establish a direct criminal link to Simon Ekpa.

Most importantly, the as the Defence we have maintained and we still maintain that there is no direct evidence placing Simon Ekpa at any alleged scene of crime or otherwise establishing that he personally carried out the criminal acts attributed to him.

The court must NOW therefore distinguish between political speech, political advocacy and criminal responsibility. Suspicion cannot replace proof; inference cannot replace evidence; and association cannot by itself establish guilt.

We have confidence in the Finnish judicial process. We now await the closing submissions and ultimately the judgment of the Court.

The Defence case remains solid. Let the evidence speak. Let justice prevail.

LET US WAIT FOR CLOSING STATEMENTS, expected next week.

RE: NIGERIA AGENTS IN FINLAND COURT UNHAPPY ABOUT OPEN COURT DISCLOSURE

Our attention has been drawn that Nigeria agents sitting in Kouvola court are not happy that what Prime Minister Simon Ekpa said in *FINLAND OPEN COURT* was brought out to Biafrans.

We wish to state as follows:

1. Kouvola proceedings are OPEN COURT. Under Finnish law, open court means public. There is no secrecy. What is said in open court belongs to the public. Biafrans have right to know what their Prime Minister said in their defence.

2. If Nigeria agents are angry that truth came out, it confirms PM told truth. PM stated:

- USB declared in Lahti Nov 29, 2024 with 40 States — meets Montevideo 1933

- USB Independence Declaration in Lahti is part of the PROCESS to our full protection and freedom

- USB Constitution in exile is legal and cabinet can use it

- Dr Orabueze represents the ONLY leader of the 80 million Biafrans at this moment:

One Decaration

This truth hurt Nigeria agents because it exposes Nigeria and their Biafra agents fighting our freedom and declaration

The Finland open court hurts Nigeria as a terrorist state, not Biafra.

3. We will not hide open court from Biafrans. Open court is not secret meeting. Biafrans funded this struggle, Biafrans are the people. We will continue to brief Biafrans on every open court statement.

4. Nigeria agents should leave Finland court. If they are in Finland to intimidate and to stop Biafrans from hearing their Prime Minister, they are interfering with Finnish open justice. We ask Finnish court to note their presence.

5. Finland court conducts secret hearing during PMs appeal and the public were not allowed into the court. Nigeria agents should understand the difference between Finland open court and secret court hearings.

Open court is open. We will not be intimidated.

Dear President Donald @realDonaldTrump,

It may interest you to know of a matter of urgent public interest concerning the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s continued refusal to release the full criminal records of Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the self-acclaimed President of Nigeria an individual long associated with serious allegations of drug trafficking and related criminal activities while residing in the United States.

The Nigerian people have a fundamental right to know the complete character and documented history of the man who currently leads them. Transparency regarding any past involvement in narcotics trafficking or other serious crimes is not a privilege; it is a democratic necessity.

A nation cannot freely choose its leaders when critical information about those leaders remains deliberately sealed.
The United States would never permit a person with such a background to serve as mayor of any American city, let alone occupy the office of President.

Yet the same records that would disqualify such an individual from public office in America are being withheld from the very people now forced to live under his authority in Nigeria.

We therefore respectfully but firmly urge you to use the full weight of your office to direct the FBI and the CIA to release, without further delay or redaction, all relevant criminal records, investigative files, and related materials concerning Mr. Tinubu’s activities in the United States.

Such disclosure would empower millions of Nigerians with the truth they require to make an informed choice about who should lead them in the critical years ahead.

The world is watching. The Nigerian people are watching. History will record whether the principle of transparency that America claims to uphold is applied only at home or whether it extends to those whose past conduct may still shape the destiny of an entire nation.

We call on you, Mr. President, to act decisively in the interest of truth, justice, and the right of a sovereign people to know the full record of the man who claims to govern them.
