6 marriage rules that can prevent unnecessary damage:
1.Don't insult each other during arguments.
2.Don't threaten divorce when you're angry.
3.Don't involve family in every disagreement.
4.Don't use sex or money as a weapon.
5.Don't keep secrets that would destroy trust if discovered.
6.Don't let one bad day become an excuse to treat your spouse badly.
Marriage already has enough problems. Don't create new ones just because you haven't learned to control your emotions.
I think there’s a stage in life where you just become quiet. You stop fighting for friendships, stop forcing people to stay and just start figuring your life out. Whoever understands stays, whoever doesn’t, leaves. And you just let them.
Jobs are stressful. So is unemployment. Raising kids is stressful. So is not having a chance to. Owning a home is stressful. So is depending on a landlord. Being single is stressful. So is maintaining a relationship. Life is a series of tradeoffs. Don’t romanticize the unknown.
If you want to get married because you think it is all love, sex, and happy moments, I am here to warn you. You are in for a rude shock.
Marriage is also bills, tired nights, disagreements, in-laws, silence, responsibility, and days when you don’t even like each other. The romance doesn't stay forever, you will fight some days.
If you are only prepared for the sweet part, the disagreement and boring part will break you.
Marry because you are ready to build, lead, forgive, and endure.
Don’t marry because you want a permanent honeymoon.
That version does not exist.
