That the important thing was the game, the contest. There is a finite limit to how far a golf ball will go, but the game was great when people drove it 200 yards. Length is costing everyone but driver and ball manufacturers. Time for change

At my local range its wet season so we are on old balls. They got 20% less far and boy its hard work. Off line still matters, good hits go further, bad ones get punished. Seems to me golf is going thru what athletics went thru when it chased world records. They forgot (thread)
