Did you know only the female Anopheles mosquito can transmit #malaria?
They need blood 🩸 to lay their eggs and that’s how the parasite spreads to humans.
Here are 3 things to know:
🌙 They usually bite in the evening or at night often while you’re sleeping
💧 They breed close to home in water like ponds, puddles and rice fields
🦟 When they rest on a wall, their abdomen sticks up like a handstand

@FirstDoctor It happens during fetal development around 4-6 weeks but it usually disappears by the 8th week. It is not caused by anything the parents did or didn't do, it is just a rare occurrence. It is not linked to any medical conditions and the only treatment is surgical removal
@FirstDoctor When we say human evolves from evolutionary past, this is what it typically means. This is a rare case of a human born with a harmless tail-like structure called vestigial tail present at the birth of a child.

A french word that means according to the menu. In most restaurant, you order your meals separately from a menu. It comes with a separate price. The meals are made fresh to suit your taste.

Just to quickly put this out there:
IF you ever see anyone having a seizure that does NOT stop within 5minutes, please lie that person down on their left side and call an ambulance ASAP.
Do NOT pour water on them.
Do NOT put anything in their mouth.
Just lie them down and call an ambulance. If no ambulance, take them to hospital in a car ASAP.
Any seizure more than 5mins;
The person’s brain and heart is under attack. If that seizure isn’t terminated, the person will die.
This is NOT a joke.

When Your Breasts Whisper Before Your Womb Speaks
A tender tale of prolactin, the milk-making hormone that sometimes forgets its job description.
There is something about breasts leaking milk that makes people uncomfortable... especially when there is no baby in sight. And yet, three in every ten women with high prolactin will do just that ...drip a little, or a lot... often noticed not by themselves but by a lover tracing a line lazily down a chest.
And so they hide. Society has taught women to hide what is not picture-perfect. But biology, as always, could not care less about your image filter.
High prolactin, or hyperprolactinaemia ... say it slowly, like a name you might one day give to a secret. It is a condition where the brain, or more specifically the pituitary gland, starts whispering too loudly, flooding your body with prolactin ... the hormone of milk, of motherhood, of misplaced timing.
It is not a curse. It is not a punishment.
It is, simply, a hormone doing too much. And when prolactin rises, balance flees. Menstrual cycles lose their rhythm. Ovulation becomes shy. Fertility writes itself in invisible ink. And sometimes... sometimes, a woman begins to produce milk, uninvited, unsummoned, and unapologetic.
She may not tell anyone. Except her pillow. Except her lover who notices.
Except eventually, her doctor. And this is where you must pay attention. Because high prolactin is not just about milk. It can come with:
Irregular periods that arrive like confused guests. Headaches that linger like bad poetry. Blurry vision that may be a whisper from a pituitary mass. Infertility that makes silence louder
But here's the thing: there is help.
There is a gynaecologist who knows how to ask the questions you’re too shy to answer.
There is a hormone test, and possibly a brain scan, and maybe maybe a tiny pill that can calm your overzealous pituitary gland.
And yes, there might be a chaperone.
And yes, there might be an ultrasound.
But more importantly, there will be answers.
Do not wait until the silence becomes permanent.
Do not wait until hope becomes a faded photograph.
Walk to your doctor. Run if you must.
Because hyperprolactinaemia is not your fault. And your womb, your breasts, your dreams of motherhood... all deserve truth and treatment.
So stay dry. Stay brave. Stay bold.
And remember: milk is sacred... but only when invited.
You are waiting until you feel ready.
Meanwhile, there is someone in their bedroom with less skill than you, posting that content and building the audience you want.

@malaleafiz18@iam_preethi Sources of iodine are seafood, meat, dairy, eggs, iodized salt.
Just like selenium, balance is key.
Too much iodine can reduce thyroid function. When we talk about fertility, it is not about taking huge amounts of vitamin or minerals, it is about balance, and steady nourishment
@malaleafiz18@iam_preethi Iodine is important for thyroid hormones which regulate ovulation, egg quality, implantation, and early fetal brain development. Low iodine can result to cycle disruption, poorer egg quality, higher miscarriage risk, neurodevelopment risk in early pregnancy.
Kidney stones can be this big.
6 things that can increase your risk of having kidney stones:
1. Dehydration: so make sure you drink enough water always.
2. Being too fat: you see that belly fat, it's the worse.
3. Having weight loss surgery: e.g. gastric bypass surgery.
4. Doing rigorous exercise under very dry weather conditions: if weather is very dry, drink loads of fluids before, during and after you exercise.
5. Other medical conditions: e.g. repeated urinary tract infections (UTI); treat your UTI promptly and adequately.
6. Eating too much salt or sugar: watch what you eat.

Your body doesn't just "bounce back" after pregnancy because it was never meant to go back to exactly what it was.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, your small intestine actually grows longer and increases its surface area. Your body is trying to absorb more nutrients. Some of these changes persist even after you stop breastfeeding.
The intelligence of the female body never ceases to amaze me.
Didn’t we just say happy new year a few days ago 🤷♂️? What happened to January? Where did it go? And how did it vanish? Anyways, Happy new Month Saints, May this be to you a month of Praise and of multiple praise reports. May streams of joy flow in your life like never before in Jesus’ name. Happy New Month ! 🙂
Best time to do a self breast exam is few days after your period when your breasts are not swollen or tender.
Examine with a soapy hand in the shower so your hand glides smoothly over the surface. Also, check your armpit for any swollen nodes.
Let's prevent breast cancer.
