Results are in… Graduating with First Class Honours in my Emergency, Pre-Hospital and Immediate Care iBsc. Had an unbelievable experience and worth all the tears. One more year to go until fully qualified!
The junior doctors operating on your appendix are paid just £66.55 between them. For a potentially life-saving procedure, which lasts about an hour.
Is this a fair price to put on high quality healthcare?

Jeez. All we hear from UK news shows & Government Ministers is how “unreasonable” Junior doctor demands are but no one is pointing out the Health Secretary wants them limited to a derisory pay award of just 2% with inflation ahead of 10%! It’s shocking
Unsure why my trust thought this was a good idea to post when junior doctors are being refused lockers, have to change in the toilets, the doctors office light is broken and we don’t have a place to rest on a 12h night shift.

Reminder for final years, don’t pay for freely available info on the AFP/SFP packaged into ‘necessary’ courses. Message a recent/current AFP, ask for advice from your medical school, go on the deanery/UKFPO website, and go to one of the many FREE courses! Happy to answer Qs on 🏴
So grateful to @annafmenin for the opportunity to be featured in The Sunday Times about the financial difficulties of being a newly graduated doctor #MedTwitter#LiveableNHSBursary
Have been invited to present at the SESAM conference in Seville in June. Paid €417.45 registration fee and the uni only offer £50 per academic year on conferences 😭. Very grateful for the invite and looking forward to presenting but my bank is slyly crying rn 😩
