The #BA2263 777 circling over South Wales at 10,000ft. We’re used to military aircraft flying even lower around here, but to see a commercial airliner this low was spooky. Anyone know what actually happened? My guess is depressurisation.

Update: I used up all of my gems on streak freezes in the hope that this update would be reveresed and our progress restored. I have now officially lost my streak. I haven’t completed a lesson since the 3rd of November. What a sad time.

With respect, this #Duolingo update has got me seriously considering losing my streak and uninstalling. I’ve been set back multiple units, and now have to work through ones I completed months ago. I adored it, now I have absolutely zero motivation left. Please reset our progress.

@the_negin That truly sucks. I can’t believe it’s taken people’s progress. Updates shouldn’t do that, especially if you pay for it.

@AOLIVIAJAMES I’m assuming they’ve covered themselves somewhere in the small print, but pressure from users might get them to change. We are their revenue, therefore we have a degree of influence on them. Whether or not that’s enough is a different question.

@suzhos66 Right? How could they mess up this badly? There is truly no incentive to use it anymore. I used to live and breathe protecting my streak, now I’m waiting for my streak freezes to run out and then that’s it… bye bye streak.

@marcskeu I’m using up my hoard of gems to get streak freezes just incase they reverse this update. Once I run out it’s cold turkey for me too. I haven’t done a lesson for a few days now. I was addicted over the summer myself, so I feel this. I loved the competition in the leagues.

@ChristineBlake @KazumiSeattle @smfordo Nothing exotic haha, just Welsh. I already know it, but was keeping it refreshed. I’m using it to learn another language too, though.

@KazumiSeattle @ChristineBlake @smfordo Not an unusual one per se, but definitely a small one. I already speak it, but I use Duolingo to keep it refreshed. I do use it to learn a language I don’t know as well.
