An insurance based model would also mean prices for consumables would increase substantiallyx10. The nhs is a fantastic buying power in terms of volume to keep the cost of supplies (and sadly staff) down

1 year ago I'd just come out of surgery... I was having flashbacks on an hourly basis constant nerve pain and living off 4 hours of sleep. grateful for the #nhs and @STH_MSK for putting me on the road to recovery
I now have a fianceé, a puppy, less pain and hope 🙏 #SavetheNHS
